Events

The Republic American Legion, S.A.L., Riders and Auxiliary are active in the Republic community. The organization coordinates and supports a variety of events to foster community engagement and raise money to help various community and veterans organizations.

Meat Madness – Organized by the S.A.L. and held annually, this raffle is a main fundraiser for the Sons. The Great American Meat Raffle tickets are $5 a ticket or 5 for $20. The first prize is a split side of beef and includes processing.  Read more.

Memorial Day Parade & Service – Community Parade down Washington St. and Memorial Day Service held at the cemetery is organized every year by the Legion and its members. Seneca East bands, Republic Volunteer Fire & EMS, boy scouts, girl scouts and other community organizations are welcome to participate. The Women’s Auxiliary hosts donuts and drinks at the post following the event.

Salute to our Vets Country Night – Annual country concert at Meadowbrook Park started in 2017 to honor local service members and raise funds to support local veterans groups. The event has been put on hold due to COVID. Read more.
